The Jockey Club Home for Hospice (JCHH) is a first-rate hospice centre that provides quality hospice and palliative care to patients with life‐limiting illnesses and their families.JCHH employs a holistic service model that focuses on the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects of end-of-life care. Farewell Room


  • Cool blanket at 4 degree Celsius to keep the deceased’s body while waiting families coming from abroad
  • A place for respectful farewell to give family members a chance to say goodbye in a peaceful setting

Lecture Hall



Located on the G/F, the Lecture Theatre is a place where we advocate for a new family-oriented hospice and palliative care service model that promote a long term vision of hospice care-at-home and die-at-home at patients’/ families’ choice. It also provides a perfect space for forums, symposium, talks, life and death education lectures and fundraising events.

Dining Area



A roomy dining space for families and friends to host private gatherings or parties with patients.

Quiet Room



Located on the 1/F, the Quiet Room is a multi-purpose room that offers patients, family, friends or caregivers a space to relax, engage in their own thoughts, pray and gather strength. Farewell party or memorial service can also be held here.

Self-contained ensuites



It has 30 self-contained ensuites with ample space for family members to spend quality time with patients and vice versa at any time of the day.

  • 30 fully-equippedensuite single rooms with river or garden view
  • Convertible sofa bed facilitating family members taking turn to spend quality time with the patient
  • Modern equipment, tools and accessories available to cater for different situations, such as foam air mattress to relieve the pressure effect on skin and to prevent pressure sores, ultra light weight warm air blanket to keep patients warm and comfortable at the last days of life

Garden


The garden promotes serenity and brings the residents and visitors a sense of peace, tranquility and feelings of connectedness with self and others. In addition to plants that offer visual pleasure, our rosemary, peppermint and basil in the garden shoulder an important mission to stimulate patients’ olfactory sense and appetite. Consider also birds chirping that spurs hearing; trees and flowers that inspire touching… The garden is where our patients find the power of life again.

Play Room

Located on 1/F of the Home, the Play Room provides a safe, comfortable and pleasurable place with wide range of equipment and toys that are commonly used in play therapy, aiming to help our patients’ young children cope with anticipatory grief and loss, bereavement and grief to go through their own difficulties together with their families. If you wish to use the Play Room, please make an appointment with your care manager.
